Sanette Olivier (skoolhoof/Head of school)
Skoolhoof:
Sanette Olivier is die stigter en eienaar van die bekende Jo Christal Akademie/Dramaskool. Sy verwerf haar BA-Graad in Dramatiese Kunste by die destydse Universiteit van die Oranje-Vrystaat. In 1991 stig sy die Jo Christal Dramaskool in Port Elizabeth en bied dramaklasse aan by verskeie skole in die stad.
Sy verhuis in 1992 na Pretoria en stig nog ‘n Jo Christal Dramaskool. Dramaklasse word by ongeveer 52 verskillende skole deur Sanette aangebied. In 2006 begin sy om Drama as vak vir Graad 8 tot Graad 12 by Hoërskool Wonderboom aan te bied en die vak gaan nog van krag tot krag.
Sanette se vaardighede in die vermaakliksbedryf sluit die volgende in: Dramaturg, regisseur, mentor, motiveringsspreker, choreograaf, afrigter en beoordeling. Sy bied gereeld afrigtingskursusse aan vir universiteit -en kollegestudente sowel as onderwysers. Sy tree ook as seremoniemeester op by verskeie fondsinsamelinsfunksies.
Sanette het besluit dat haar doel op aarde opgesluit is in die bemagtiging en motivering van mense om hulle potensiaal met vryheid en selfvertroue te ontwikkel en uit te leef. Sy hou daarvan om te glo dat om ‘n Drama-onderwyseres te wees vir haar “Superpowers” gee.
Head of school:
Sanette Olivier is the founder and owner of the famous Jo Christal Academy/Drama School. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts at the University of the Orange Free State. In 1991 she founded the Jo Christal Drama School in Port Elizabeth and offered drama classes at various schools in the city. She moved to Pretoria in 1992 and founded another Jo Christal Drama School. Over the past 35 years Sanette has introduced and presented Drama classes at 52 different schools.
In 2006 she also began presenting Drama as a subject, for Grade 8 to Grade 12 learners at Wonderboom High School and ever since it is one of the most popular subjects in the school.
Sanette’s skills in the entertainment industry include playwright, director, choreographer, coach, mentor, motivational speaker and judge. She regularly offers coaching courses for university and college students and teachers. She also acts as a master of ceremonies at several fundraiser functions.
Sanette decided that her purpose in life is locked up in coaching, empowering and motivating people to develop and live their potential with freedom and confidence. She loves to believe that being a Drama teacher gives her superpowers.
Luné Coulsen (onderwyser/Teacher)
Onderwyseres:
Luné is ‘n dinamiese individu wat tydens haar Laerskoolloopbaan besef het
dat sy ‘n brandende passie vir die wêreld van die teater het. Sy het haar liefde vir drama in haar Hoërskoolloopbaan voortgesit en was een van die beste leerders in haar klas.
Sy het aktief deelgeneem aan verskeie kunswedstryde in die kategorie Drama, Redenaars en skryfkuns. Sy het haarself in die Drama-en skryfafdeling met verskeie tegnieke bemag en verskeie toekennings daarvoor verwerf. Luné was ook onder die top 10 wenners vir Huisgenoot se storiekompetisie.
Om ‘n drama-onnie te wees, pas Lune soos ‘n handskoen, want sy is baie lief daarvoor om haar energie, vaardighede en empatie veral met kinders en jong volwassenes te deel.
Lune behaal haar Dramalisensiaat by die Jo Christal Akademie met lof.
Teacher:
Luné is a dynamic individual who realized during her
Primary School career that she has a burning passion for the world of the
theatre. She pursued her love for drama in her high school career and was one
of the best students in her class.
She was an active participant in several eisteddfods in the drama, orators and writing categories. She has empowered herself with a wide variety of acting, writing and communication skills and obtained several awards for it. Luné was also among the top 10 winners for Huisgenoot’s story competition.
Being a Drama teacher is a perfect match for Luné,
because she loves to share her energy, skills and compassion especially with children and young adults. She obtained her Drama Lisensee at the Jo Christal Academy with praise.
Ghita Lubbe (onderwyser/Teacher)
Onderwyseres:
Ghita Lubbe was een van daardie kinders wat op die verhoog groot geword
het. Tussen kostuums, grimering, helder ligte, oorverdowende klank en
skarrelende klein akteurs, het sy die wêreld van toneel in sy volle glorie leer
ken.
Ghita het die medium van Drama tydens haar hele skoolloobaan
beoefen en het gereeld met toekennings weggestap vir haar vertolkings van
verskeie Drama-items. Sy spog ook met met verskeie toekennings vir
afdelingswenner by verskeie kunswedstryde.
Ghita het na skool die Dramawêreld vir ‘n wyle verlaat en haar Diploma in
Haarkappery en Grimeerkuns by Centurion Akademie verwerf. Haar sterk
leierseienskappe het haar baie vinnig in die posisie as takbestuurder by Gary
Rohm Haarsalon in Brooklyn geplaas. Sy het egter agter gekom dat die Dramawêreld in haar bloed is en verwerf haar Dramalisensiaat met lof by die Jo Christal Akademie.
Ghita is ook tans besig om haar BEd in senior fase by Unisa te voltooi. As ma
van twee dogtertjies, sien sy baie daarna uit om, met Drama as medium, ‘n
dinamiese en positiewe impak op ander kinders se lewens te maak.
Teacher:
Ghita Lubbe was one of those children who grew up on stage. Between costumes, make-up, bright lights, over deafening sound and scurrying little actors, she has known the world of Drama in its full glory.
Ghita practiced the medium of Drama throughout her entire school career and regularly walked away with awards for her interpretations of several Dramatic Arts categories. She also received several divisions winners’ awards at various Drama competitions.
Ghita left the Drama World after school and obtained her Diploma in Hairdressing and Make-up at Centurion Academy. Her strong leadership traits very quickly placed her in the position as branch manager at Gary Rohm Hair Salon in Brooklyn. After a few years in the hair industry she realized that the Drama World was in her blood and obtained her Drama Licensee with praise at the Jo Christal Academy.
Ghita is also currently busy with her BEd in senior phase at Unisa. As mother of two little girls, she looks forward and is determent to use Drama as medium, to make a life changing impact on other children’s lives.
